Golfing millionaire Greg Norman set to marry wife number THREE

Greg Norman - golf's Great White Shark - is to marry again, just six months after his divorce from his 'true love', tennis great Chris Evert. Now it's Australian interior designer Kirsten Kutner who is describing the 55-year-old former world number one golfer as 'the big love of my life'.

They became engaged while having a 'day-to-day conversation', when Norman unexpectedly presented 41-year-old mother of two Miss Kutner with a six-carat diamond ring.

'I am definitely the luckiest woman on this earth,' she tells Australia's New Idea magazine, which runs a photo of the happy couple on the front cover of their latest edition.

'I am so blessed to have such an amazing man to share my life with.' Mr Norman tells the magazine: 'One minute were having a day-to-day conversation and the next moment, all of a sudden, everything changed - our lives changed. It was perfect.'

It will be multi-millionaire Mr Norman's third marriage. Twice a winner of the British Open, Mr Norman was divorced from his first wife, Laura Andrassy in 2006 after 25 years of marriage.

Then in 2008 he married former Wimbledon champion Chris Evert in a lavish 100-guest £1.3 million event in the Bahamas.

But after just 15 months the marriage was over and according to Mr Norman's sister, Janis Norman, it was doomed from the start because Miss Evert was jealous of his higher profile.

'She became very dominating and controlling and it became very apparent she was treating my brother badly,' Miss Norman said. But Miss Evert told Australia's Woman's Day magazine earlier this year that she had suffered hurt, anger and shame' over her short-lived marriage, adding that she had 'no idea it was coming - no idea.'

Speaking earlier this year to New Idea magazine, the notoriously-private Mr Norman said that Miss Kutner, who has German and Philippines ancestry, has been a long-time friend.

From his lavish home in the U.S., Mr Norman said: 'In life, we all go through a learning curve and my life is no exception. 'I am now in a very good place with Kirsten.'

According to friends, Mr Norman and Miss Kutner, who had known each other in Australia, ran into one another at the Fairmont Cairo hotel in Egypt last year, but it is not clear whether he was still living with Miss Evert at the time.

'Greg and Kirsten saw each other at the hotel where Kirsten had been part of the interior design team,' a friend of the couple said. 'Greg was there on business and was more than happy to see her.

'He has held a candle for Kirsten for quite a while and he's not holding back on his affection for her now.' The friend told the magazine at the time: 'Greg can't take his eyes off Kirsten. They look like they have gotten to know each other verywell in a relatively short space of time.'

The friend who spoke of Mr Norman's new relationship said Miss Kuitner was a 'much more grounded, laid-back individual' than Miss Evert. 'She is worldly and has lived all over the world,’ they said.

'She's comfortable in any social situation, but she's happy to let Greg have the spotlight.’
Mr Norman is reported to have paid Miss Andrassy £69million in a divorce settlement but his divorce from Miss Evert, made official in an obscure Florida courthouse last January, did not involve an expensive carve-up of assets because of a pre-nuptial agreement.
