Chelsea Handler joins new best friend Jennifer Aniston for a bikini fiesta in Mexico

She may not have a significant other, but Jennifer Aniston was not short of good company over the Thanksgiving holiday. Comedian Chelsea Handler joined the actress at her favourite holiday spot in Los Cabos, Mexico. The former Friends star, 41, and the 35-year-old chat show host sunbathed poolside at a resort in equally revealing bikinis.

The actress was joined by comedian Chelsea Handler

Jennifer recycled a tiny purple string bikini she wore on holiday last year while the Chelsea chose a royal blue two-piece. Both women teamed their bathing suits with a hat to protect their skin and spend time lying in the shade.

The two became friends after Jennifer appeared on Chelsea's show earlier this year. The two women joked on the show about their rumoured wild ways. 'There's a story about us that we work out together at Crunch in West Hollywood and then we have vodka-fuelled fiestas,' Chelsea said.

'We were going to go out on the town, and you decided we were going to find men together!' retorted Jennifer. 'We were going to out together - and then you blew me off saying you were off on a set in Hawaii!' responded Chelsea.

Jennifer is holidaying during a break from filming her new movie Wanderlust.

The comedian was in high spirits on the trip

The film, also starring Paul Rudd and Malin Akerman, is about 'An urban couple branch out to live a more counter-culture lifestyle.' In New York she has been wrapped up warm against the wintry weather, but in Mexico it was time to strip down and enjoy the warm sunshine.

Jennifer has taken dozens of holidays in Mexico in recent years - including breaks with ex-lovers John Mayer and Gerard Butler. But usually she brings along a large group of close friends, and celebrated her 40th birthday there with pals Sheryl Crow, Courteney Cox and Kathy Najimy.

Reports recently surfaced that she was planned to buy a holiday home in the country with her close friend Courteney Cox.

'Jen is Courteney’s rock at the moment. And they’ve decided to buy a holiday home of their own – a bit like a girls-only retreat. 'They’ve already shortlisted a few properties,' a source told Britain's Grazia magazine.

'It needs to be a spacious, gated property with on-site security and close to the One & Only resort, where they usually stay, so that they can visit the spas, restaurants and bars.' Her holiday partner, Chelsea, has spent the past month dodging rumours that she is dating rap superstar Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent.
