Lucie Jones sets sail on a speedboat ride with friends as she plots pop comeback during sunshine break in Barbados

Since appearing on X Factor last year, we haven’t seen much of Welsh beauty Lucie Jones. And although she has enjoyed success on stage and on the catwalk it seems the 19-year-old hasn't given up on her dreams of pop stardom just yet. Enjoying a break in Barbados with a group of friends, the teenager sizzled in a white bandeau bikini as she soaked up the sun on the Caribbean island.

And the singer looks to be in fine form as she showed off her taunt and toned body during the lazy afternoon on the beach, before enjoying a speedboat ride with her friends. It seems that Lucie is hoping to relaunch her bid for pop stardom and has revealed on Twitter that she has been writing music on the beach during her break. She posted: ‘Hey everyone, just got in from a long day writing on the beach. feeling SO good about these tracks cant wait to play them for u all!xxx’

Lucie, who is currently starring in Les Miserables in London enjoyed a dip in the sea before toweling off to enjoy a drink on her sun lounger. The model sipped champagne as she joked with friends and took pictures of their group with a camera. The alcohol seemed to take effect as she took to the sands once again but appeared to lose her footing, and seemed to stumble as she made her way back down the beach.

The Wonderbra’s Full Effect Bra model, was appearing slimmer than ever as she topped up her tan during the day. Lucie was enjoying a break from her role playing prim Cosette in the West End musical Les Miserables which she joined in August last year. As well as treading the boards of the West End Lucie has also been working as a fashion model for Select Model Management.

Lucie became the fifth act to be sent home on last year’s X Factor and lost out to Jedward after she was eliminated by a public vote. Ofcom received over 1,000 complaints about the show from viewers who claimed that the show was fixed in favour of the Irish twins, but the regulator refused to investigate the claims.
