After a busy few weeks promoting her new cook book, Eva Longoria has jetted off to Mexico for rest, relaxation and a little romance.

The 36-year-old was spotted lounging by the pool at a luxury resort in Cabo with her toyboy, Eduardo Cruz, 26.

The Desperate Housewives star put her petite figure on show in a green bikini while her boyfriend showed off his toned torso - and his many tattoos - in a pair of grey shorts.

The actress began dating Eduardo, who is Penelope Cruz’s younger brother, in February and source say the relationship is going from strength to strength.

’Things are getting very serious between Eva and Eduardo,’ a source tells America’s People magazine. ’They’re really happy.’

And she has made no secret of her desire to start a family.

’[I want to] have kids and be a mom,’ she said while promoting her book Eva’s Kitchen on the Rachael Ray Show earlier this month.

Eva split from her husband of four years, Tony Parker, in November amid allegations he had been unfaithful.

While she was heartbroken over the divorce, she insists she wishes the basketballer well.

’So many people want me to hate him and destroy him, but I don’t want to,’ she has said. ’I want him to be happy. He’s not a bad person.’

’I do believe in forgiving and forgetting. There was a reason we were together. I just want to hold on to the good times.’
