Charlize Theron bewails being single - despite being one of the world's most beautiful women

She is an Oscar-winning actress and one of the most beautiful women in the world.

But Charlize Theron has revealed that despite her best efforts she cannot find herself a man.

The 35-year-old said that she does not want to be single and would prefer to be seeing somebody.

However since ending her nine-year relationship with Irish actor Stuart Townsend last January she has still not found the right person.

On the face of it, Theron should have no problem attracting suitors - she is the face of Christian Dior and looks stunning in adverts for the fashion house.

She won an Oscar in 2003 for her role in crime drama Monster and has been nominated for a string of BAFTAs and Academy Awards.

Worth an estimated £18million, she has also consistently been ranked as one of world’s sexiest women.

Yet speaking to Piers Morgan on CNN Theron said that relationships were a problem for her and in a fit of frustration blurted out: ‘I’m single and I need a man!’

In January last year Theron and Townsend broke up after their relationship reportedly turned from ‘husband and wife’ to ‘brother and sister’.

She stopped wearing the commitment ring he had given her and they two went their separate ways.

Theron’s next film project will be an adaptation of the Snow White fairytale, reportedly alongside Lily Cole and Kristen Stewart from the Twilight saga.

South Africa born Theron recently denied being romantically linked to Prince Harry after the two were seen chatting at a polo match.

‘I am not dating him. I’m dating his passion for the work that he does,’ she said at the time, referring to the Royal’s charity fundraising.
